Five years and 150 new Art Hives later, the Art Hives Symposium is back in Montreal!

Join us for two days to reflect, share, learn and co-design a vision for what the next five years look like for arts-based social inclusion projects across Canada and the world.

Waterfall Arts is a non-profit contemporary arts center located in Belfast, Maine. creating community in harmony with nature through the transformative power of the arts.

We are thrilled to offer an Art Hive in Mid-coast Maine. Our open studio sessions are for everyone! A variety of materials will be available for you to create with, including: Paints, Pastels, Collage, Fiber arts, etc. Come experience the transformative power of art in a safe and encouraging environment where all are welcome.

Art Hive London welcomes everyone as an artist and community collaborator. We believe we are more than just consumers on this planet and that by creating together we build a sense of belonging! 
 

Community art studio which welcomes everyone as an artist. We work with the Arterie to provide instruction, supplies and support in all creative endeavors. There is something new every week and we love seeing everyone's unique creations. Drop in to explore colour and intention through creating in a supportive group environment. All ages welcome.

The Transition Age Youth (TAY) Academy provides safe, inclusive, youth-led drop-in resource centers in North County San Diego. TAY is dedicated to serving youth and young adults in a manner which is knowledgeable of, and sensitive to, the trauma occurring in their lives. Our Safe Place is an office within TAY who serves LGBTQIA youth. Our regular schedule holds space for art and creativity every week. We are excited to invite your youth and family to share in our warm and vibrant community.

The CMHA-YT Art Hive Open Studio is a free community space for people to come together and make art. It is hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association - Yukon Division, and takes place in-person in various spaces in and around Whitehorse, as well as online via Zoom.

2019 Art Hives Symposium

Concordia University and the Art Hives headquarters welcomed 130 international art hives practitioners for its 2nd National Symposium held at the Loyola Campus on May 31 and June 1.

The ArtSpeaks ArtHive is the first of its kind in Northern Ontario --funded by a tri-agency partnership, the Hive shares the Education Studio of the Sault Ste. Marie Museum, a heritage building found at the core of the city's downtown. 

The Art Hive offers two programs:

Wednesday nights for adults and youth (16+) negatively impacted by trauma due to addictions, sexual violence and mental health issues; and once quarterly on Sundays, the Hive is open to all members of the comunity for its "Sunday Family Hives".

Violet Hive Art Therapy's mission is to help our clients and participants to recognize their strengths, overcome challenges and move forward with their dreams through art and creative expression. At Violet Hive we have thoroughly trained and competent artists and therapists available to meet the needs of children, adults and families living in the Denver area. We offer a full range of services including open art studios, workshops as well as individual and group therapy. Our approach is holistic, strength-based and client-centered. 

 

 

The NDG Senior's Atelier is a community art studio catering to seniors, initiated to create a space for the community to come together and connect through the act of art making. Created for the community by the community, the NDG Senior's Atelier offers the use of free materials in a welcoming environment for socializing and engaging in artistic creativity.

Founded in 2010 with the mission of providing multi-modal arts programming, including sales and exhibition opportunities to individuals with disabilities in a supportive and inclusive environment, Make Studio aims to put art and abilities to work throughout Baltimore and beyond to create more inclusive communities for all. Via ongoing exhibitions, public programs, and studio services for visual artists with disabilities, we celebrate the aesthetics and concerns of artists commonly typed as "outsiders", making visible their observations and points-of-view to increase the vibrancy of our cultural sector.

Magpie’s Nest Community Art Society helps to build meaningful community connection through creative collaboration. The magpies create a safe space for art making that brings together community members regardless of their age, ethnicity or gender, to express themselves through creative avenues.

The Corner Brook Open Art Studio is a community art center that welcomes everyone as an artist, regardless of age or ability. It is all about respect and inclusion, where you can explore your creativity in a relaxing, stress-free environment. Drop in and use the wide variety of materials offered here or you can bring your own supplies – the choice is yours! The open art studio is about building self-respect, empowerment and community, and not so much about technical know-how.
