The Transition Age Youth (TAY) Academy provides safe, inclusive, youth-led drop-in resource centers in North County San Diego. TAY is dedicated to serving youth and young adults in a manner which is knowledgeable of, and sensitive to, the trauma occurring in their lives. Our Safe Place is an office within TAY who serves LGBTQIA youth. Our regular schedule holds space for art and creativity every week. We are excited to invite your youth and family to share in our warm and vibrant community.

Each Open Studio session will strive to inspire creative expression, creative play,  and encourage open dialogue about the creative process. Some of the activities that are usually happening during Open Studio are: Painting, Collage play, Origami, Mindfulness and the Art of Doodling.

Come and create!  A host of miscellaneous art supplies will be available for participants to use at no cost. Open to all ages! Children under 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. No pets allowed. This is a non-smoking facility.

If you'd like to donate to Art Hive at TAY, please bring new or good condition art supplies.
