Nous offrons une ruche d'art directement dans la galerie McClure, généralement le dernier samedi de chaque exposition, animée par l'artiste exposant.e ou un.e instructeur.rice de l'école d'art du Centre des arts visuels. À chaque ruche d'art, nous nous inspirerons de l’exposition en cours. Venez expérimenter et partager votre créativité dans une ambiance amicale et décontractée. Tous les matériaux sont fournis, tous sont les bienvenus!

Five years and 150 new Art Hives later, the Art Hives Symposium is back in Montreal!

Join us for two days to reflect, share, learn and co-design a vision for what the next five years look like for arts-based social inclusion projects across Canada and the world.

Art Hive is on occasional Saturday's from 2-4 pm, please check facebook to know more details.  For Art Hive all art materials are free for use in Studio and donations are accepted.  Under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Set up and clean up is required by participants and there will be an artist availabe at all times but no structured instruction will be provided.

The Transition Age Youth (TAY) Academy provides safe, inclusive, youth-led drop-in resource centers in North County San Diego. TAY is dedicated to serving youth and young adults in a manner which is knowledgeable of, and sensitive to, the trauma occurring in their lives. Our Safe Place is an office within TAY who serves LGBTQIA youth. Our regular schedule holds space for art and creativity every week. We are excited to invite your youth and family to share in our warm and vibrant community.

Stony Point Center is a retreat and conference center 35 miles north of NY City in the lower Hudson River Valley. Along with the running of a conference center, we are unique in the fact that there is a continuing and intentional multi-faith community of Muslim, Christians and Jews, known as the Community of Living Traditions. The Art Space, as well as the 1-acre farm, compliments the community's collective efforts to generate the seeds of positive change in the world.

A creative incubator where artists with and without disabilities gather to connect, create and exhibit.  A multi-generational community that offers studio space for adults, summer classes for kids and workshops for all.  The space is also available for sublease for artists groups and performances.  

DitArt is an internationally oriented community cultural center, made available by Ekphrasis Studio. It offers a space for creative minds, but not only, for meetings, workshops, exhibitions,  book promotions and other cultural events! Our creative interaction occurs not only indoors but also in alternative spaces by involving local and international communities, experts and the general public! Please, feel free to write to us if you have any ideas or plans to organize events

REcreate/REcrear is an open , community art studio, hosting Art Hives and other community events.

L'Art de partager est une activité créée par un groupe d'étudiante en psychoéducation à l'Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, qui ont à coeur l'entraide ainsi que le partage, dans un système de type circulaire. Les Ruches d'Arts les rejoints alors dans ces valeurs, notamment en apportant un côté créatif, qui vient tisser davantages de liens entre les participants (incluant les étudiantes-participantes).

The CMHA-YT Art Hive Open Studio is a free community space for people to come together and make art. It is hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association - Yukon Division, and takes place in-person in various spaces in and around Whitehorse, as well as online via Zoom.

L’Académie des arts Trouve ta voie croit en la capacité des personnes différentes à développer leurs aptitudes artistiques et à s’épanouir à travers l’art. The Science Shop is Art Hives Network’s new initiative in collaboration with Vanier College and Concordia’s office of the VP, graduate and research department. The aim of these public science events is engage the community in public conversations about the intersection between science and creativity. Taking place in the community art studio La Ruche d’Art, a life sized cabinet of curiosities packed with art supplies, a multitude of art made by community members and a whole host of odds and ends, one may think it an odd place to be discussing molecules and mutations, among others.

Violet Hive Art Therapy's mission is to help our clients and participants to recognize their strengths, overcome challenges and move forward with their dreams through art and creative expression. At Violet Hive we have thoroughly trained and competent artists and therapists available to meet the needs of children, adults and families living in the Denver area. We offer a full range of services including open art studios, workshops as well as individual and group therapy. Our approach is holistic, strength-based and client-centered. 



The Corner Brook Open Art Studio is a community art center that welcomes everyone as an artist, regardless of age or ability. It is all about respect and inclusion, where you can explore your creativity in a relaxing, stress-free environment. Drop in and use the wide variety of materials offered here or you can bring your own supplies – the choice is yours! The open art studio is about building self-respect, empowerment and community, and not so much about technical know-how.

A research team led by neurologists Anne Bolwerk and Christian Maihofner reports “the production of visual art improves effective interaction” between certain regions of the brain.

What’s more, this improvement in brain function—found in a small group of new retirees who took a class in which they created paintings and drawings—was matched by self-reports of strengthened psychological resilience.
