Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Brand New Day is doing amazingly well at the Indian box office. In fact, it also went on to deliver one of the biggest opening weekends ever for a Hollywood film. Over the weekend, the film saw a good growth in its collection as it crossed the Rs 300 crore gross mark in India.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Spider-Man: Brand New Day earned Rs 73 crore net in India on its first Sunday. The film had opened with Rs 60.60 crore on Thursday, followed by Rs 49.35 crore on Friday and Rs 70.25 crore on Saturday. In just four days, its total India net collection has reached Rs 253.20 crore, while its India gross has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark, becoming the fastest Hollywood film to achieve the milestone in the country.

Sunday also turned out to be the film’s strongest day in terms of audience turnout. It recorded an overall occupancy of 79.6 per cent across 16,781 shows, reflecting strong demand throughout its opening weekend.

The English version remained the top performer with Rs 40.50 crore on Day 4. The Hindi version followed with Rs 29 crore, recording an impressive 95 per cent occupancy. The Tamil version added Rs 3.50 crore with 77 per cent occupancy across 1,115 shows.

The latest numbers add to the film’s record-breaking start at the Indian box office. On its opening day, Spider-Man: Brand New Day collected Rs 60.60 crore net, beating Avengers: Endgame to register the biggest opening day ever for a Hollywood release in India.

Spider-Man Leaked Online!

Spider-Man: Brand New Day recently became a victim of online piracy. Just two days after its theatrical release, a high-quality pirated copy of the Marvel film surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) and spread rapidly before it was eventually removed.

According to Variety, the leaked version was first uploaded by an X account named Fredrick Bryan at 6:05 a.m. PT. Before it was taken down at around 3:25 p.m. PT, the post had reportedly reached nearly 5.9 million accounts. It also received over 143,000 likes and was reshared more than 10,000 times.
