Michigan opened its season with a miraculous, last-second win against in-state rival Western Michigan. On the last play of the game, quarterback Bryce Underwood, who was one of the most hyped quarterbacks of his recruiting class but who has failed to live up to expectations so far, found JJ Buchanan in the end zone for a touchdown on a Hail Mary toss. That play took place with one second left on the game clock, to eke out a 13-12 victory.

Many believed Michigan would have a disappointing season after that lackluster result, but to the surprise of many, the Wolverines followed that up by defeating then-No. 11 Oklahoma 17-10. Underwood had another disappointing game as a passer, connecting on just nine of 17 passes for 111 yards, but he showed why he was so ballyhooed as a prospect by using his legs so well in the victory. Underwood ran the ball 18 times for 87 yards and one touchdown in the win over the Sooners.

UTEP, meanwhile, is 1-1 this season, falling 51-0 against Oklahoma before defeating Texas Southern 51-10. In the win, Miners quarterback EJ Colson connected on 14 of 21 passes for 239 yards and four touchdowns.

Will Michigan take care of business over UTEP on Saturday? Or will Wolverines fans have to suffer through another attempted upset bid at home? Find out on the Big Ten Network at 3:30 p.m. ET, which you can stream live on Fubo.
