Captain Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir is also looking forward to the challenge, and has full belief in the project Bayern is building — of which the stadium is just one component.
"I think what the club is doing here is incredibly appealing to future players," Viggósdóttir explained (also via FCBayern.com). "It's an investment in the future."
As for Bayern's UWCL slate this year? Call it a Murderers' Row. But Viggósdóttir and her teammates are taking it all in stride: "This is the Champions League. You have to play the best teams," she added. "The tough route could actually be really good for the team."
